Step 1: The Consultation

Before determining if Kambo is right for you, you will book a short consultation to discuss your knowledge around Kambo Ceremony in order to ensure you understand the process. Then, you and Stella Moon will discuss your medical history and make sure you are not taking any medications that may limit or hinder the experience.

After determining that there are no preexisting conditions that will take away from the benefits of the medicine, you will then discuss your purpose for the treatment, so the ceremony can be intentional when it actually takes place.

Step 2: Preparing for the Ceremony

The ceremony begins with a cleansing. For those who are less familiar with Kambo, a discussion about what to expect from the process will take place. Because of the purging that will occur during the ceremony, you will be required to drink a fair amount of water to stay hydrated and decrease the discomfort of the purging.

Then, the gates for the medicine to enter your body will be created. Using a smoldering stick or vine, small holes will be placed into the body, encompassing your meridians, chakras, and ears.

Once the gates are made, the medicine is scraped off with a stick using some water to form a goo like substance, called points, which will then be placed over the gates.

If you’re new to Kambo a test point will be given before applying the rest of the points to see how you react.

Step 3: Experiencing the Medicine

The medicine only takes a few minutes to take effect. You will feel intense sensations and feel the medicine working through your body. This can present itself as a feeling of extreme heat and your extremities may swell. Then, you will feel some discomfort, this is inevitable. Nausea and top and potentially bottom purging will take place. Remember, these are the toxins leaving your body and are nothing to feel shame or embarrassment about. Step 4: Closing the Ceremony

After the medicine is removed, the gates are covered with dragon’s blood, a natural tree sap. It will stay on your gates until they naturally fall off.
